I've now realized just how hard it is to keep up with certain things with a newborn in the house. I keep meaning to sit down and update this site, and every time I do, something else comes up. So, I'm sure a lot has happened since the last posting. The first being....our computer crashed. We've been using laptops to get us through until our new one gets here (which should be tomorrow).
As for Warren...he's getting much stronger, longer, and bigger. After only two weeks in day care, the booger got RSV. RSV is an upper respiratory virus that nearly 100% of babies get. He's over it now and is fine, but it sure was rough. He coughed a lot...so much he would choke at times. And he had a terribly stuffy nose. Dr. Cornett put him on Amoxicillan and suggested we get a humidifier and saline solution for his nose. So, Chris took a day off work....stayed home with him. Then, Harriet took a day off and stayed with him. So, we've successfully made it through our first illness.

He's beginning to smile and talk a lot more. When he's on his changing table, he will talk up a storm. It's adorable! Chris says on the way home, in the car, he'll cram his hand in his mouth and just talk, talk, talk. And his smile is just too cute. He absolutely loves taking a bath. He's going to be a little fish, once he learns to swim.
He's finally sleeping in his crib, rather than the bouncy seat. This is a very good thing! We still swaddle him tightly, but at least he's moved to the crib. The other night as I was holding him, I noticed a big patch of hair was missing. Then, when I went to put him down to sleep, I saw all the missing hair. So, we've turned him when we put him down, so at least he'll be evenly bald.

We also celebrated Warren's first Valentine's Day! They made cute little "hats" for the kids at his school.
So, that's about it from the Mayes household. I've had several friends ask when I was going to update this site, so I'll try and be a little better about keeping up. But, don't hold your breath!
