Ninevah, Ninevah, City of Sin...

It's been forever since I've blogged and thanks to my dear friend, Yadi, I'm back.  I've realized that since I haven't had time to keep up with baby books, I need to have some way to remember these amazing times we call life.  So, I've come back to the blog....mostly for my own sake, so bare with me.

I've been very excited about Christmas this year, knowing that this was the first time Warren really kinda "got it."  Seeing Christmas through your children's eyes is unbelievably fun!  Chris and I are having such a good time, amidst the business of the season.  Since we have two boys....they're bound to get stuck doing some girlie stuff.  So, we sat down last weekend to make Christmas cookies for Santa.  (Yes, we know it was a couple of weeks early, but Santa doesn't really care for the cookies anyway...so, what's it matter if they're stale?)  After decorating one cookie, Warren ran off and left me to decorate the rest.  A few minutes later, "Super Pablo" comes running in (complete with a cape and bike helmet), yelling "Mommy, these are the bad girls.  Super Pabwo is taking them to Ninevah."  So, there I sat...having a jolly time decorating my cookies while Super Pablo sent the bad girls to Ninevah...not quite the Hallmark card picture I had in my head.

Meanwhile, we had been waiting and waiting for Harper's first steps.  He'd been crawling for quite some time and we knew he was close to walking.  Warren walked when he was about 9 months, so waiting over a year seemed like forever for us.  Needlesstosay...two weeks ago I went to pick up the boys from school.  Like I do everyday, I picked up Warren first...then we went to get Harper.  Walking into Harper's room, he made a bee-line for me, crawling across the room.  His teacher, Ms. Chelsey, picked him up, stood him up on the ground and said "Harper, get up off that floor."  And sure enough...Harper just walked right on over to me.  Warren and I stood there, stunned.  I looked at her and was speechless.  So, while we had been carrying him and bringing things to him....who knows just how long he'd been walking.  Smart little booger!

Easter Egg Hunt

So, I know it's been forever...but here's Warren's Easter Egg Hunt! He kinda got disinterested, until he realized there were more eggs!

updates...

Ok, so it's been a month or so...and I'm a bit behind. In the last couple of months, we were able to take Warren to the river house...which he loved. There's so much for him to explore!! And he had a great time with Hook and Eye (who wouldn't?).

He has moved to a new preschool, which we are very pleased with. He's definitely gotten adjusted and is just testing his teachers' limits. We're working on "channeling" some of his energy. :)

He continues to stay kinda small (in fact, he's still in 9 month shorts) and sick. His doctor says he's outgrown his breathing treatment, so now we're trying an inhaler and Singulair. We're also experimenting to see if some of his troubles might be Kelsey. So, Harriet is keeping Kelsey for the next month or so. So far, no change (although our floors are much, much cleaner)!!

And, he has a new best friend....our neighbor, Sarah! He just loves Sarah! She'll come over and play with him, and he just thinks she's the best!
