memorial day

Ahhhh, yesterday was Warren's first Memorial Day! We celebrated by spending the day with family. We visited with Gretchen, Rox, Brett, Julie, Logan and McKenna....then moved to Memaw and Pops' for a Memorial Day cookout! Warren had a taste of canteloupe and watermelon. He seemed to like the canteloupe, but I'm not too sure about the watermelon.

Tonight was our first attempt at regular food!! We've been trying rice cereal, but he hasn't seemed to like that so much. So, we decided....if the kid doesn't like cereal, he doesnt' like cereal. So....carrots it was! He LOVED em....ate a half a jar in his first sitting.

On the crawling front...he's probably a week away from going. He gets up on all fours and just kinda scrunches backwards. So, not too much longer.

And, as for teeth...yup, that's happening too (all of this happens at once, I notice). He's teething and fussy. We found this great new gadget that lets us put ice chips inside while he gnaws on it at a time...and it looks like he's got two little teeth coming in on the bottom. Too cute!

we're on a roll

Boy, are we on a roll! Warren has learned to roll over from front to back and from back to front. So, he just lays on the ground and rolls all over the place now. It's hilarious! We have to keep picking him up and moving him, so he won't roll into furniture.



He's also wearing his first little hat, to keep his head shaded in the sun.

And, had his first taste of rice cereal last night! He seemed to like it ok...but I think he was too hungry to really "enjoy" it. We'll try it again tonight and see how it goes!
