Yesterday we took Warren, for his first time, to Disney's Magic Kingdom...thanks to our friends, Rob and Suzi!! It was, to say the least, amazingly magical...especially since it's been about 15 years since Chris or I had been. On the way home, I asked Chris, "What, if anything, would you do differently about today?" And, neither of us could think of a thing, except "Eat dinner at a different restaurant."
We had a great monorail tip (thanks to my friend, Rachael), which saved us tons and tons of time. We were able to ride every ride that we wanted too, without waiting more than 30 minutes! Then, we thought we might just see how things panned out, if we could stay around for the electrical parade (which I had never seen before). It wasn't until 9:00pm, so we weren't expecting much. However, Warren was a champ! And, we just happened upon what we think was the best seat at the park! We were right on the curb on Main Street...where the characters could see Warren and wave...and some even came over to him! Then we hung around for the fireworks and .... made an easy escape out. Truly magical!
And tonight we watched the most adorable Christmas pageant ever! We had a Christmas Eve Eve service tonight at church, where all children were invited to wear a costume and participate in recreating the nativity. Warren picked an angel costume, although...he said he wasn't Gabriel, because Gabriel had a different kind of a halo (the kind that stand up on your head, not the kind that just sit on top of your head). He's been very "mommy-ie" lately, and he got two shots today (and because of those shots...until about 30 minutes before church, he wasn't able to walk)...so I was totally surprised when he went up on stage. However, he looked like he could cry at any given moment. Needlesstosay, this is about as good as the pictures get. He also took his first communion...after which he said "Mommy, I'm weally hungwy after that."
